It's been a giant effort, three years underway in the background, but finally Spectre is ready for unveiling.
Our roapmap is quite long, and it'll take quite a bit more effort to reach the end. Here's where we're at:
- New website, modern brand and identity: Launching.
- iPhone, iPad & iPod Touch: Pre-release testing underway.
- Command-line interface: Approaching pre-release.
- Universally accessible web application: Mini preview-version on the website. Fully capable application TBD.
- Android Handheld & Tablet
- ...
Currently, Spectre is going through the pre-release process of alpha and beta testing for its iOS native application.
Interested in what Spectre's going to be like? Let's take a look!
Signing into Spectre will be a breeze. You can add as many users as you like, authenticate either through FaceID, TouchID, or using your personal secret (aka master password). Spectre doesn't save generated passwords to the device, so adding your name to a friend's phone is perfectly fine!
For those that prefer, there's also an "incognito" mode, allowing you to sign in without leaving any traces on the device after you're done.
Once you're in, all of your sites are readily available to you. Passwords are generated on the spot and disappear as soon as you sign out. Sites are automatically styled for you. Easily modify any site parameters from the details panel.
Tired of switching between apps just to copy/paste passwords? No worries! Spectre now auto-fills your credentials for you on demand, from any browser or app on your phone. Combine with FaceID and TouchID to make this a breeze, or authenticate on-demand with your personal secret, if you prefer.
We hope you've enjoyed this quick introduction to Spectre's new look.
While Spectre goes through its pre-release testing phase, availability is limited to participants in the beta testing program. Eager to get involved? No problem! Use our testing program sign-up form to apply today!
