Hi and welcome!
The answer to this question depends a bit on your preferred usage. We don't want to force you to use the app in any particular way.
- You can use Spectre purely for passwords. In this case you'd copy your password from the app, fill in your username manually and paste in your password.
- You can use Spectre for usernames in addition to passwords, either by using the Spectre generated usernames or by saving your own usernames into the app. By tapping the mode button on the site cell, you can switch over to the cell over to displaying the login name and copy that.
- You can use Spectre through Autofill, in which case Spectre will automatically fill in both the site's username and the site's password into the fields from which you're triggering Autofill.
Both usernames and passwords are by default generated by the app's algorithm. Usually this is what you want for passwords, but you may not want this for usernames. If you want to save a custom username, you can set a "global" username in your user's "Standard Login" setting (eg. your standard email address), and for sites that use a different username you can save a specific username in the site's own settings.
Does that help? Let me know if there's anything else I can clarify.
