Ios 18 update - Spectre not starting

Since updating my iphone 14 pro max to IOS18 and having previously tested the Beta versions,
Spectre starts, I enter
my credentials and then when pressing enter the app dissapears and never start and I cannot access my list of pwds.
Any ideas on what to do ?

anyone Actually I just found a bit of a bug in the IOS version. I could not recreate my old account with my passphrase that used special characters (!!) But when I recreat it with a passphrase without exclamation marks, it works fine. However, the passwords generated are obviously not the same since I changed the pass phrase.
I have written to Maarten about it and if this cannot be resolved I'll have to move on to something else. I really like this app and concept but now this issue on IOS and Spectre will not work on my Intel macbook pro which is a pain in the ass. I am not ready to upgrade the macbook...I guess this is to be anticipated from a small developer. He lacks resources to fully develop this.

I am attempting to reproduce the crashing issue, but so far no luck. If anyone can discover a way to reproduce the issue with a test user and test secret that you can share publicly, please do respond to this thread with your steps to reproduce.

I just finished and email with Maarten about this.
So if I recreate an account with a long password including double exclamation points at the start and end of the password it works fine. When I try and reuse my old credentials which contain the double exclamation points, the app crashes !
I am really stumped !
I can only think that perhaps even after reinstalling the app there remains some crap on the Iphone that is causing this problem. I was running the betas on the phone prior to upgrading to the final IOS18.
My fear is that I'll have to wipe the iphone and reinstall everything...

I have the same problem on iPhone SE (2022) since I updated to iOS 18 a few days ago. And the following update to iOS 18.0.1 did not change the situation.

I don’t think that the problem is caused by any special characters: If I try to add a new user “Fred” with personal secret “qwertyui” the app crashes, too.

gunslinger Addendum: And if I create a new user “Fred” with personal secret “qwertyuio” instead of “qwertyui”, the app doesn’t crash. Really strange, isn’t it?
